Griffin breaks record for passes without pick.
Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin set a Bowl Subdivision record on Saturday for the most pass attempts to start a career without an interception by a freshman.
Griffin was 15 of 27 for 162 yards in the Bears’ 34-6 loss at Oklahoma State, extending his streak of passes without an interception to 155.
Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy set the former record of 138 during his freshman season in 1986. Gundy is now in his fourth season as the Cowboys’ coach.

Alabama Cody carted off the field with injury.
Alabama defensive tackle Terrence Cody sustained a right knee injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s game against Mississippi.
Coach Nick Saban said the second-ranked Crimson Tide’s run-stopper would have his knee examined but that it didn’t appear surgery would be necessary.
“I would assume that he’ll be out for a couple of weeks, but we’re not sure about that until they do the MRI,” Saban said.
Cody was helped off the field after an Ole Miss player appeared to be blocked into the back of his legs on a running play. A number of trainers tended to him on the sidelines, and then he was taken off the field on a cart waving to cheering Tide fans.
The junior college transfer has been a key run-stopper for the nation’s No. 2 rush defense all season. Earlier in the game, he played on offense for the first time and served as lead blocker on Mark Ingram’s 2-yard touchdown run.
