Marlins announce spring schedule.
Marlins announce spring schedule. Marlins fans won’t need reminding when pitchers and catchers report this spring. They just need to keep track of when the heart-shaped merchandise hits store shelves.
Camp officially opens in Jupiter on Valentine’s Day, when pitchers and catchers report for physicals. They’ll take the field that same day, three days ahead of the position players’ arrival and first full squad workout on Feb. 17.
The Marlins Grapefruit League schedule opens Feb. 25 against the Cardinals in the first of 22 contests at Roger Dean Stadium. In addition to a home slate that features the Mets (March 15, 31), Tigers (March 9), Braves (March 13), Phillies (March 19), Red Sox (March 21) and Twins (March 24), the Marlins will host exhibitions with the Dominican and Italian World Baseball Classic teams on March 3 and 4, respectively.
Individual game tickets go on sale Jan. 10 and can be purchased at the Roger Dean Stadium box office or through Ticketmaster.
