Northwestern head men basketball coach Bill Carmody has announced. The addition of Ivan Vujic to the Wildcats employees as an assistant tutor. Vujic comes to NU after most recently serving as the Director of Basketball Operations at DePaul University the past two years. He his August 1.
My staff and I are very stirred up to welcome Ivan to our database, Carmody said. I know he is hot and bothered about the opportunity to move into a full-time assistant tutoring position and I have confidence in his addition will pay dividends in recruiting as well as on the surface. He has knowledgeable from two coaches I have fantastic admiration for in Coach Homer Drew and Coach Jerry Wainwright and they could not say enough good possessions about him. I look forward to inspecting Ivan infuse his work ethic and firmness in our talented big kids as well as the rest of the team.
A native of Split, Croatia, Vujic played educational at Valparaiso University from 1998-2000. He played nub for the Crusaders for two seasons, 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game while helping lead the team to a pair of Mid-Continent Conference normal time of year and playoffs titles and two succeeding NCAA match appearances. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts amount with a inconsequential in instinctive tutoring from Valparaiso in 2006.
Before joining the Crusaders, Vujic two at Vincennes (Ind.) University from 1996-98. Vujic was christened a fourth-team Junior College All-American by Street & Smiths Basketball Magazine before his next spell at Vincennes.
Upon the completion of his academic career, Vujic four specialized seasons in Europe and Puerto Rico before teaching the B.C. Dubrava-Zagreb club team. He then to Valparaiso where he served as an assistant instructor for the 2005-06 period before outgoings the past two at DePaul.
